		<description>Ethics is a tough subject to argue because each person have different opinions. Like you said "I consider the actions to be spam and thus unethical." It is your opinion and I very well respect it. You mentioned Tim O' Reilly who have 6000 people following him whereas he is only following 170. O'Reilly is already popular around the web for his O'Reilly media therefore more people know him thus they follow him. I am certain if I follow people, they will at one point in their life get bored like you did and with their choice will check out my page. If they like it, they will check out my posts otherwise they will just ignore. And everypage they ignore is not spam. There is nothing wrong with following 20k people. Everytime I get a direct message, I send a reply to them. Everytime someone ask me a question on my blog, I reply to them. Take yourself as an example you commented and you found me via twitter. I replied to you. So obviously it is not spam. If it was spam, I would have no intention to reply to you on my blog, or anyone else. Niether would I come here and write a long comment.

Once again, I have nothing but respect for your opinion.
